Every year around this time I get a pretty serious case of spring fever.
It manifests in a variety of ways:
Obsessively scouring the ground for the first crocuses.
(I know they're not going to show up until the middle of March. Still, I look.)
Filling the house with flowers and green living things - this year that includes our own greenhouse.
(Cilantro, basil, rosemary, and tomato sprouts.)
Also, Easter candy. Lots and lots of Easter candy.
And trying on all my favorite summer sandals.
Just to remember what it feels like to bare my toes.
In the meantime, even if we have to bundle up I will wear bright pink lipstick.
(Michael's pointing to a picture of a cow here.
Seem's he is also anxious to get outside and get closer to nature.)
We will play in the sun, even if it's indoor sun...
...and we'll pour our energies into the important things.
Like learning to wink.
Hope your week is off to a fantastic start!
xoxo
Awesome! I love the wink face!
ReplyDeleteLooks a little like you ;)
DeleteThe kids and I LOVED this post! I have my windows open and i'm washing all the linens in the house...just moved around the kids room and the livingroom...feeling the urge to clean out too! Love the first wink picture of Mikey and the picture of your shoes! How'd you make your own greenhouse?
ReplyDeleteThanks, sister! We bought a little greenhouse kit at Walmart for $6 and some packs of seeds. It's not fancy, but I think it will work fine and it makes me so happy to smell the dirt and know that some little plants are growing in there :)
DeleteHow sweet! The attempts at winking are hilarious. My four-year-old is still trying to get the hang of it, though he may never- my husband actually cannot wink!
ReplyDeleteWe are ready for spring as well. Ready, ready, ready! Thanks for the inspiring Emerson quote. Love that.
