Faves

Happy Friday! First on my list of faves this week, a couple of cool bits from the blog of a friend, Links of the Week (If you don't subscribe, you should! It's always full of interesting stuff.) I love the creativity of Ben Heine's photo/sketch hybrids! A few of my favorites:

New eco-friendly Coke bottle from a design student - we may be seeing these around before long. They're stackable, collapsable, and they have a smaller cap. Isn't this a great idea?! I don't think I'd miss the old design a bit.
As seen on the little things we do (a blog which I highly recommend), how to spend a day in Paris. I hope to do this with my man very soon.
And finally, give yourself a laugh on this Friday and visit old jews telling jokes. Maybe I'm just missing my patients, but these people are so cute and seriously funny! I recommend "Question for the Nurse", "Venice Beach Nursing Home", and "Rottweiler".

Happy weekend!!! xoxo

Cinque Terre

We're planning a trip to Italy. We don't know when, exactly, we will go but we do know where we will go. This region, Cinque Terre or "Five Lands" is high on our list. I came across these gorgeous pictures on flickr and had to share...

Green whimsy

It's a cool, peaceful morning here. The windows are open, birds are singing and the view from my seat in the kitchen is lush and green - makes me feel like I'm a kid in a tree house.
It inspired me to share a little of the whimsy! Here are some pretty green images for you - enjoy and have a wonderful day! xoxo
A gorgeous photo by Suzanne Hopkins, spotted on creature comforts.
A pretty find from we heart it.
Fairy-tale landscape seen on we heart it.
I no longer remember where I found these (a cup of jo??), but aren't they beautiful? They belong in a sweet, whimsical nursery. ***These were spotted on shelter.***

Good morning! It's a rainy day in New England, and I'm here at my kitchen table with a cup of coffee blogging to you fine readers. Could life be any better?? I had a wonderful weekend - my sweet husband took me (and our dog) away to New York City to celebrate the end of my clinical training. We had a fabulous time, ate some amazing meals, and spent time with good friends. And, I learned a few things while we were there:

1) I love the city but I will never regret not living there. Too many people, lines, crowds, too much trash and noise, etc....

2) Good barbecue can be found in New York City. It's in Brooklyn at a little place called Fette Sau (Fat Pig). (What else can be found in Brooklyn you ask? Hipsters. Lots and lots of hipsters.)

3) I used to think Ella was meant to be a cattle dog, working on a ranch rounding up cows and goats. Now I think I may have been wrong because she feels right at home in the city - the walks, the people, and the luxurious hotel rooms...

Here are a few pieces of inspiration to start off the week:
What could possibly make built-ins better?
When they're part of a gorgeous apartment in Paris. sigh

I love everything about this. Everything.

I'm not crazy about the dark walls, but this is possibly the coolest sofa I've ever seen.

Doesn't this look like a wonderful place to wake up?

So, so pretty.

And finally, this room. The furniture is heavy for my taste, and I'm not sure I like orange in the bedroom, but it definitely makes an impact, don't you think?

Have a lovely week!! xoxo

Faves

Hello out there! I've been all tied up with a busy week, but it's over now, everything went great, and I'm on the downhill until my internship (and my career as a student) ends one week from today. Yaaay!! Let's celebrate with some faves from around the web and some dreamy spaces....Happy weekend everybody!

I totally love this series from little things we do. Every Friday I answer the questions and send them out to my loved ones survey-style. It's so fun reading everybody's answers and learning more about each other.

Check out these gorgeous (and free!) invitation templates. I kind of want to plan an event just so I can use them...

When I was a kid, I had a recurring dream that I was a spy in Europe during World War II. Here, a truly amazing account of a real Allied hero. Can you believe things like this really happened?!?

And finally, the latest addition to my Hooked On list at right, la maison boheme. It is right in line with my aesthetic, well-written, and beautiful, beautiful, beautiful.

Isn't this room magical? It just looks like the kind of room where good things happen. And I'm not just saying that because of the built-ins.

Tranquil room, open window, breeze blowing in over a quiet street in Paris. Heavenly.

So dreamy.

I'd love to have my morning coffee here - I die for these windows.

A bed made for sweet dreams.

Happy Earth Day!

"It was You who opened up springs and streams...
The day is Yours, and Yours also the night;
You established the sun and moon.
It was You who set all the boundaries of the earth;
You who made both summer and winter."
Psalm 74: 15-17
