The Shadow of the Wind

It's been three days since I finished it and I'm still thinking about The Shadow of the Wind by Carlos Ruiz Zafon. I love nothing more than a book that draws me in completely and, although it may not be a classic for the ages, this book did that. The story has murder, friendship, love, mystery, history, humor, and suspense, all of which takes place in the dark shadowy city of Barcelona in the years following the Spanish Civil War. So I'm feeling a little nostalgic - a very good sign indeed when I wish a book hadn't ended - and thought I would share some pictures of the dark city where the story takes place. Enjoy - and I highly recommend the book!
