If this crisp, white bathroom is wrong, I don't want to be right.

This kitchen by Jessica Helgerson Interior Design took my breath away. See more here.
(And remember this magical place? It's Jessica's home!)

Good morning, lovelies!
I feel like I've been out of touch lately, and I don't like that.
I wanted to take a minute and thank you for reading, for commenting, and for being a part of my life here on the interwebs. I love this little space where I get to share my thoughts and inspirations and connect with such thoughtful and caring readers. So, thank you for being here! Even when I'm not showing up as frequently or responding to comments as consistently as I would like, my thoughts are here.
Life is busy right now. Michael keeps me busy (always, always busy). We're also approaching the day that we will close on our house, Lord willing. So, I have one of those running to-do lists where I cross off two items, then add four, then cross off one, then add three more...you know what I'm talking about, I'm sure. It's all so exciting, and I'm so very thankful. But I also have this overwhelming desire to get as much done as I can before we move in. Because that little guy who keeps me busy (all.the.time.) isn't going to slow down for painting or curtain-hanging or drawer-cleaning or any of the millions of other things that have to be done when you move into a house. So I'm pouring my energy into planning ahead, wherever possible. And looking forward to more settled days right around the corner!
xoxo
(By the way, that's not a picture of our house up there, but isn't it stunning?
Wouldn't you just love to get in there and dress that gorgeous room? I think I'd style it like this.)

This little "Garden Studio" is the perfect guest house.
See more, and the house that goes with it, here.

Homes I love
I've got homes on the brain this week, so I thought I'd keep the theme going with this
little beauty spotted on design sponge. Isn't it lovely?

Three bright and beautiful kitchens for you today. Because I can't pick just one.
Aren't they lovely?

Stairs and stripes (and built-ins!)
These photos were not taken in the same house, but I think they belong in the same house and I should live there.

White light
Some great advice from colour me happy (a treasure of a blog completely dedicated to color - sigh): white is a decorating snob requiring good natural light, harmonized proportions, and a few objects artfully arranged. So true! Stick to these rules and the results are fantastic:

Faves
Hello out there! I've been all tied up with a busy week, but it's over now, everything went great, and I'm on the downhill until my internship (and my career as a student) ends one week from today. Yaaay!! Let's celebrate with some faves from around the web and some dreamy spaces....Happy weekend everybody!
I totally love this series from little things we do. Every Friday I answer the questions and send them out to my loved ones survey-style. It's so fun reading everybody's answers and learning more about each other.
Check out these gorgeous (and free!) invitation templates. I kind of want to plan an event just so I can use them...
When I was a kid, I had a recurring dream that I was a spy in Europe during World War II. Here, a truly amazing account of a real Allied hero. Can you believe things like this really happened?!?
And finally, the latest addition to my Hooked On list at right, la maison boheme. It is right in line with my aesthetic, well-written, and beautiful, beautiful, beautiful.

Isn't this room magical? It just looks like the kind of room where good things happen. And I'm not just saying that because of the built-ins.
Tranquil room, open window, breeze blowing in over a quiet street in Paris. Heavenly.
So dreamy.
I'd love to have my morning coffee here - I die for these windows.
A bed made for sweet dreams.

Highlights and gorgeous whites
Happy Friday everybody (almost)!! Another weekend is upon us - here are some of my favorite little bits from around the web from the last week or so. I hope they bring a smile to your face!
I laughed out loud at this funny post about Paris in the spring. It's dead on. Gotta love those too-cool-for-sunlight Parisians.
...and more proof that Jeff Bridges is the second most adorable man alive. *sigh* (Thanks to the most adorable man alive for passing it along :)

How amazing is this room? There are individual elements that don't totally appeal to me, but the way it is put together is genius! A total feast for the eyes AND efficient use of space! Love the tons of built in shelves, and the adorable guest room up the ladder above the kitchen.
